Loot Tables
Note
As of recent versions, trinkets have been made rarer by removing them from many loot tables. You can globally adjust all drop rates using the globalLootMultiplier option in the Common Configuration file.
This section covers how you can modify the loot tables to change the spawn frequency, location, and individual drop rates of trinkets.
Individual Trinket Customization (+1.21.x)
In modern versions of the mod (+1.21.x-1.1.x), each trinket's chest loot rate and spawn location can be configured individually.
You can find a separate JSON configuration file for each trinket in the following directory:
📂 config/nameless_trinkets/trinket_loot_configs/
Configuration Format
Here is an example of a configuration file (e.g., amphibious_hands.json):
{
"item": "nameless_trinkets:amphibious_hands",
"chance": 0.01,
"loot_tables": [
"minecraft:chests/simple_dungeon",
"minecraft:chests/abandoned_mineshaft",
"minecraft:chests/desert_pyramid",
"minecraft:chests/jungle_temple"
]
}
Parameter Explanations

Default Drop Chances (+1.21.x)
By default, chest loot drop rates are categorized into four rarity tiers. These values represent the base spawn chance in standard loot chests (dungeons, city treasure, temples, etc.):
- Mythic (0.0% chance - must be enabled via configs/datapacks):
- Legendary (0.25% chance):
- Rare (0.5% chance):
- Common (1.0% chance):
- Experience Magnet, Broken Magnet, Lucky Rock, Puffer Fish Liver, Blindfold, Explosion Proof Jacket, Wooden Stick, Blaze Nucleus, Ice Cube, Creeper Sense, Amphibious Hands, Gills, Moon Stone, Sleeping Pills, Nelumbo, Dark Nelumbo, Spider Legs, Dragon's Eye, Pocket Lightning Rod, Shrinking Veil, Titan's Mark, Woundbearer
Legacy Versions (Datapacks)
For Minecraft versions prior to 1.21.x-1.1.x, loot tables cannot be modified via JSON config files. Instead, they require the use of DataPacks (applicable only for Forge/NeoForge):
